Answers
1. This riddle was asked by The Mad Hatter in the book 'Alice in Wonderland' (written by Lewis Caroll) during The Mad Hatter's Tea Party that Alice atteneded. The answer is that Lewis Caroll never intended there to be an answer, merely a nonsense riddle to arouse the reader's wonder, although many people have come up with alternative answers that they claim are true. One favourite answer is that neither is made out of cheese, but this is not true.

2. The answer to this is a towel, because it gets wetter as it dries a wet object.

3. This riddle's answer is nothing. Nothing is greater than God, nothing is more evil than the devil, the poor have nothing, the rich need nothing and if you eat nothing you'll die.

4. The stars

5. Darkness

6. Your heart

7. Silence.

8. A river.

9. A stamp.

10. Fire.
